Final Family Nature Night of the Year is Held at Beulah Heights
The final Family Nature Night of the school year was at none other than Beulah Heights Elementary in Pueblo and it was one for the books! We had some hot summer heat, which made playing outside extra exciting. Below are some of the highlights from the event.
Students go through the Great Migration Challenge to learn about the many obstacles migrating birds might face during their long journey to and from their summer and winter habitats. Did you survive to the end of the challenge?
On the playground, kids practiced their casting skills with backyard bass. So fun!
Chico Basin Ranch, one of SOLE's partners, entertained families with all of their biofacts from wildlife and ranch animals alike. Than you for your presence Chico!
Inside the building, the trivia wheel was a popular stop for kids. They took turns spinning the wheel and impressing Tracy with their wildlife knowledge.
The raffle drawing was one of the best parts of the night. Many students held lucky raffle tickets that allowed them to come pick a cool outdoor gear prize. Our grand prize winner received a gift for the whole family, a certificate for an annual state parks pass. Congratulations on the new gear, we hope you will have many opportunities to use it throughout the summer!
