La Veta Family Nature Night

We had a blast at La Veta's Family Nature Night this past Tuesday! About 95 people attended the event. Thanks to all the families who came out for an awesome evening!

Our friends at the Fort Garland Museum taught us how clothes made from wool used to be fashioned by hand. The Fort Garland Museum is a wonderful partner close by that is aimed at teaching Colorado's history and prehistory to its visitors. Be sure to stop by the Museum when you can! Thanks for joining us at La Veta's Family Nature Night!

The Colorado State Forest Service of CSU also joined in on the fun! Thanks for hanging with us!

Our "Backyard Bass" activity was enjoyed on the playground- a day this beautiful should be spent outside!

Archery is always a big hit at Family Nature Night!

While families enjoyed their subway sandwiches in the gym, raffle prizes were given out to a few lucky kiddos. Congratulations to our raffle winners!

Thanks to all teachers, partners and volunteers who helped make this a fantastic event! We can't wait to come back to La Veta next year!
