North Park School Family Nature Night

It was a beautiful late-winter evening at North Park School's Family Nature Night last week. The sun was shining and the students and their families showed up in full force! We had 55 students and 30 adults present, for a total of 85 people!

Our partners from Yampatika kept the students entertained with a slew of hands-on, environmentally-focused activities.

Local Fish Hatchery Technician Terry James gave the students a firsthand look at the important work that fish hatcheries do across the state to safeguard Colorado's fish populations.

We were also joined by folks from State Forest State Park, the Forest Service, and Arapahoe National Wildlife Refuge. To say that we could not have pulled off this event without their help would be an enormous understatement!

A resounding thank you to North Park fourth-grade teacher Mikala Fletcher for all of her hard work in helping make this particular Family Nature Night a huge success! The SOLE team cannot wait to return to North Park!
