Sopris Family Nature Night
The sun was shining, and the students came in droves for Sopris' Family Nature Night!
As always, our amazing partner organizations helped us make the event a smashing success. We were joined by Roaring Fork Conservancy, Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, Natural Resources Conservation Service Glenwood Springs, and White River National Forest. Each partner provided a unique and interactive activity that helped connect the students to nature.
Also in attendance were some of the fine folks that work for Colorado Parks & Wildlife across the state. We were fortunate that District Wildlife Manager Dan Cacho and Sylvan Lake State Park manager Mike Wall both spent their evening with us.
And, of course, we could not have executed the event without the help of our awesome Sopris teachers! We can't wait for next year, Sopris Elementary!
